Reach ReadyWhat is REACH?
REACH is a Regulation of the European Union, adopted to improve the protection of human health and the environment from the risks that can be posed by chemical substances. REACH stands for Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. It entered into force on 1 June 2007. In order to comply with the Regulation, companies must identify and manage the risks linked to the substances they manufacture and/or market in the European Union. Companies have to demonstrate to the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) how the substance can be safely used by registering their substances. The risk management measures must be communicated to the users.

The process of pre-registration has enabled potential registrants of the same phase-in substance to engage and submit a registration dossier jointly. Pre-registration was a requisite to benefit from the extended registration deadlines foreseen for phase-in substances.

Vivimed’s Position
Applicable phase-in substances were pre-registered by Vivimed Labs Europe Ltd to meet the December 2008 deadline.

Vivimed Labs Europe Ltd has now completed the registration of substances that had deadlines in November 2010 and May 2013. Several non phase-in substances have also been successfully registered. Enquiries regarding the status under the REACH Regulation of a substance/product appearing in the Vivimed portfolio should be sent to the REACH Manager at [email protected]

Vivimed Labs Europe Ltd is now working on substances that require registration before the May 2018 deadline.

Further information on the REACH Regulation can be found on the ECHA website.
